We are one of the most forward thinking and technologically advanced hospital radio stations in the UK.

Radio Northwick Park is a charity run by volunteers to provide patient visiting and a broadcast entertainment service to the North West London Hospitals NHS Trust. We are registered charity number 274806 and a member of the Hospital Broadcasting Association (HBA).

Northwick Park Hospital was built in the mid 1960’s and the radio station started in 1971. We have grown in strength and numbers since our opening more than 35 years ago and became one of the first hospital radio stations in the country to become 24 hours. This was made possible in the year 2000 when we received a lottery grant which enabled us to install a computer system, which now helps with the quality of our output, and with links provided by our presenters, we broadcast a 24 hour programme.

About Request Shows

Request shows are on every weekday evening at 9pm. A team of our volunteers go around the wards, talk to patients and collect requests. To make a request call us free on 0800 074 28 28.
