RNP’s 24 hour broadcast a big success
Ben Punter, Lauren Rich and Elliot Isaacson completed a 24 hour broadcasting challenge raising over £1,500 in the process – double what they were aiming to raise!
Members of Radio Northwick Park joined them at various points in the broadcast to cheer them on and offer support.
A, very tired, Ben Punter said “I’ve been up for 28 hours now and I feel like I could sleep for a week. But it was lots of fun”.
After she came off air, Lauren Rich said “I feel like I’m getting my second wind now! It’s fantastic that we’ve raised so much money and I’d like to thank all the people who donated who made it all worthwhile”
Elliot was surprised he made it through the 24 hours. “I was tired when I started the show, so wasn’t sure I was going to make it. But thanks to Lauren, Ben and plenty of energy drinks I made it through without too much drama”.
Pictures and video of the event are already available on Facebook and will be available on the Radio Northwick Park website very soon along with the best bits of the broadcast for those who missed it.
The money raised will go towards the, much needed, refurbishment of Radio Northwick Park’s record library.
