Hey everyone,
I have lots of new driving volunteers on Wednesday.
Can anyone tell if parking in the social club at the back of the hospital is free? (Just so they are not paying £3 while they are awaiting their car permits)
Please help

Heena,
There is no free parking on site. If they park and don't display a ticket then they are liable to get a fine if the parking warden pays a visit.
If I remember correctly both the social club and football pitch car parks are permit holders only. The nearest pay and display car park is the one next to the under cover parking area under theatres.

Ben,
I thought this initially, but the Social Club can be hired out by anyone for a social event. Therefore when visitors come, what do they do about parking? It's not a pay and display as it's a Staff Car Park, however visitors of the social club must be able to park free?
I think it's one we need to discuss with the Parking Management.

Shamal has previously parked in the Social Club car park and received a parking fine.

Hi Heena,
Volunteers must keep the parking tickets they purchase (for £1). Then at the next OGM, which will be in May, they can hand them over to Keith who will then be able to provide a cheque back. We then claim that money back from the hospital.
To get parking permits, please contact Izzy. If anyone hasn't heard back from her, don't be frightened to chase her up.
Thanks!
Matt
P.S. What's up with your signature?

Hi Claire,
The £1 ticket is only eligible for those who have a low frequency staff parking permit. Please see this diagram to show where you need to go. Just to run through this:
Each member should stop off at the car park marked on the map on their way to RNP, and get a ticket for £1. They then must continue round and park ONLY in car parks 1.
They should then keep hold of their tickets and we'll reimburse every four months (so about £16 if they've attended every week).
Again, I will stress that if you don't have a permit you need to acquire one via Izzy our Secretary. In the meantime you should pay in the normal pay and displays. RNP cannot reimburse for pay and display tickets nor any parking fines.
